  14. Ok, Well I just got back from Skywalker Ranch, (well actually friday!)
  15. and here is some Trivia, if you are curious!
  16. *Skywalker Ranch is 2,000 acres of 5,000 that George owns in Marin (on
  17. Lucas Valley Rd even)
  18. *there are about 280 employees that work on campus
  19. *The Ranch makes it a point to recycle everyting, they even grow 80% of
  20. their own Veggies
  21. *The Main house is 50,000 sq ft (one acre under one roof!)
  22.   -it is 4 stories (B,1,2,3)
  23.     -Basement is the Editing room for George
  24.       -1st is the Lobby and Dining room, Living room( to the North), and
  25.       to the South, The other Living         room, THX home system(very
  26.       cool), and down the hall, the Library (even cooooler)
  27.     -2nd (North) is his publicity office, (South) is Georges office.
  28.      -3rd is his quest for education personal project.  (dedication
  29.      to finding new ways of teaching)

  31.      I talked to their Network Administrator and he was telling me
  32.      that they run a NT pc network (Phiber Optik) and currently have
  33.      over 6 stations up and running.  They are currently junking
  34.      their Mac's (because of  him :) , so he tells me!)  and trying
  35.      to go all NT.

  37.      George has a killer set up in his office.  I understand that he
  38.      is editing LIVE, REAL TIME video over his pc in his office,
  39.      that is Networked to ILM in S.R. Cool huh?

  42.      I even saw George trip and fall.

  44.      The only problem was that out of 8 hours, I only had 1 to look
  45.      around!
  46.      bummer... oh at least I got ILM's Email Address ;)
